Ruchi Shrivastava started as a journalist, moved to television. While producing Master Chef India for 4 seasons she discovered her calling that gave her the impetus to start Greed Goddess Media.
A production company known for its cutting edge and well researched Food programs. Ruchi is one of few people who have managed to marry food and media space seamlessly through special curated food events, TV shows and documentaries.
Apart from Television, Ruchi’s passion to discover regional cuisines through a lens of history and culture takes her down many off-beaten paths and helps her to bring it to the forefront of mainstream food media.
Her extensive food research and travel across heartland of India helped her in becoming one of the culinary faces with in-depth knowledge about various North Indian regional cuisines across India. She has co-written
MasterChef India cookbook and currently supervising a book made on her show “Northern Flavours”, a successful series portraying lost recipes of North of India.
Ruchi also has been an active speaker on regional cuisines of India and has recently presented paper on Bundelkhand cuisine “Poor Man’s Rich Food” at India’s first food conference Archeobroma hosted by Department of Mural studies, Mumbai University.
Being a socially conscious filmmaker and an avid traveller, her first documentary Film “The man who dwarfed the mountain” is born out of her concern for the environment, and her deep admiration and respect for
environmentalist Chandi Prasad Bhatt. The documentary was honoured with the National Award 2016 for Best Environmental Film, along with other awards at International Adventure Film Festival, Himalayan
Awards, EKO Film Festival, Borno, Czech Republic etc.
Ruchi has also been consultant on board for international show like Uncharted with Gordon Ramsay for India episode and has worked as a Food consultant on Rishi Kapoor’s last film “Sharmaji Namkeen”.
Apart from that she has created a 15-part series called “Hidden Flavours of North East India” which is her journey to understand the hidden region of North East India. She has anchored the program and currently it is playing on numerous platforms worldwide.
