  • Surajit Sarkar is currently a Museum Curator and Independent Researcher. Formerly a Professor of Oral History and Community Knowledge in India, and a Visiting Professor of Video Arts in the USA. Written and edited academic and non-fiction books (in Hindi and English), and numerous book chapters and articles. Prior to an academic career, he has worked as a photocopier salesman, a bank officer, primary school teacher, documentary film and TV director. As a video artist, he has worked in theatre and dance productions, museums and galleries in India and abroad.
